To say that this film was monumentally stupid would be a gross understatement. An example from the movie: two sisters have a fight, they walk away from each other, and later that same day when the angrier one goes to visit their FATHER, her words to her sister, also there, are: “What are you doing here?”

Uhhh, well, he’s my dad too – is what Katherine Heigl’s Jane should have replied with here, but she doesn’t, she starts explaining herself. Stupid. Heigl mostly plays a very likable character, but here she plays a complaining bridesmaid who never gets to be the bride, wha, wha…

She can’t get over her boss, Edward Burns, who she can barely speak to. She can quickly get over this other guy she meets (James Marsden), doubly so upon finding out he is cynically opposed to marriage. But once she actually gets the chance to kiss her boss, the chemistry is not there, or it doesn’t feel right, or he doesn’t taste like chocolate, or whatever. So naturally she now needs to match up with Marsden’s character, which this movie then proceeds to do. There is a fight between her and her sister, who marries her boss, before the kiss that wasn’t all that, which caused the fight, which…

If you want to see yet another stock-standard romantic comedy and not have to think while watching it, go see this. Should you want anything more, stay away.
